Speaker James Aldridge

James Aldridge is a visual artist, based in Wiltshire. James’s artwork is multi-disciplinary, comprising intimate objects formed in the hand whilst walking, larger sculptures that echo his bodily experiences, and sound/video pieces that collage imagery and sound together, to evoke an experience of interconnection.

Underpinning all areas of James’s practice, is a belief in the need to develop new ways of seeing and being with the world, in this time of ecological crisis.

About GAP

This Winter we’re continuing our well attended Greening Arts Practice Sessions. In response to COVID-19, we’re offering these sessions in a new digital format, but with the same important conversations around artistic practice, slow art, environmental responsibility, collaboration and more. These sessions include a presentation from the speaker, alongside plenty of time for active discussion and and questions.
